Here you’ll find a subjective summary of all the projects that I’ve ever been involved with. An honest sneak peak into My World.
For the end of the year festivities it is common that us Haitians drinks this so called “Kremas”. Perfect with cake, I have always wanted to generate some income for the holidays, instead of spending reasonlessly year-over-year. This family intiative have been wonderfully lucrative.
A money manipulation system, mostly investments and loans for small (petit in french) and big (gros in french) wallets. This has been my most lucrative projects so far. I want petitGROS to change how we perceive money, to turn wealth into a simple and reasonable goal that can be attained with patience and deliberate effort.
From now on you peeps have already understands that creation is my passion. I hazardously encounter graphic design back in 2009 when my firstborn brother was designing a business card using CorelDraw, thankfully he said that it was simple to learn and that I could easily do it by own. Ever-since, I’ve been killing myself with tutorials and seminars until one day I discovered the phrase that portray my style:
“I don’t create designs, I receive them from a higher perspective”
Art is expression, it’s the Application of Random Thought. It is by far the most challenging and rewarding trip I’ve ever been involved with. It has taught me to have faith on the beauty of the final outcome, because every drawing always begin with lines that doesn’t mean anything, without that faith one cannot achieve masterpieces.
I love music, in the beginning I was just following trends and therefore was never satisfied with my beats. It’s only when I start listening to classical musics, then made one just for fun, that everything changed. I realized that it was marvelous to just make songs for the sake of pure pleasure. No more room for destructive criticism, I had just discovered my favorite hobby! I have a feeling for classics and soundtracks. Every music I make is on a CC0 Creative Commons License, they are free for commercial use with no attribution required. I can provide the fruity loop project file as well. Enjoy them, they are yours after all.
My favorites: Tears of power, The wait and Les Femmes.
Kabrit is the Haitian creole word for goat. #JerryKabrit was a goat meat selling business. From picking up freely raised goats way out of town to slaughtering, packaging and delivering; I was involve in every aspects of this business! This was the most exhausting projects I’ve ever been involve with. While handling and keeping an eye on everything, I was on a 12 hour job 4 days a week. It didn’t took long till the business collapse despite the wonderful support I had from my entire family and friends (it wouldn’t have even begun if it wasn’t for my little brother’s encouragement). The profits was huge, the support and potential was outstanding.
I happen to love poetry and I barely write some articles. My interest for this type of creation have started with a little challenge from my best friend, and it turned out that we both had great writing skills. He’s 10x better than me but can only write in french. I have linked my entire writings to my Tumblr blog.
Along with my best friend Matchouz, I’ve launched the Pale Mete La podcast. It was something we had in mind for a while until one day Matchouz picked up my phone then begin to record the first episode. In 6 months we’ve recorded 28 episodes with 7 guests. Just like the name, the podcast is entirely in Haitian Creole. Pale Mete La is a Haitian creole expression which means to talk but not walk; talking but not doing nothing.
This was my Brother Gregory’s business, I was his partner and, as the number freak he naturally is, this could only make marvelous profits! We bought electronics (mainly laptops and smartphones) online and bring them in Haiti. Our clients were paying as low as 100U$ per month for their brand new computers. Here I’ve met the happiest clients ever. They were willing to buy again and again. Within 12 months I made enough to pay my next year online tuition.
